James Bond and Madeleine Swann Reunite in Fresh No Time to Die Photo

We have a brand new image from No Time to Die, ahead of tomorrow’s James Bond 25 trailer reveal. The image sees a couple of familiar faces, specifically that of Daniel Craig as the iconic MI6 spy. But Craig has company in the form of Lea Seydoux, who returns as Madeleine Swann, who we first met in 2015’s Spectre. Apparently, Swann and Bond aren’t done with one another just yet.

The image sees Daniel Craig’s 007 confronting Madeleine in what looks to be an interrogation room of sorts. She doesn’t look particularly happy to see him, which implies there has been some trouble in paradise since we last left them. At the end of Spectre, after besting Blofeld, the two walked off with one another, presumably to find some semblance of a normal life. Perhaps we’ll get some more context on the status of their relationship in the trailer.

No Time to Die centers on Bond, who has left the active service and is living the semi-retired life in Jamaica. That is, until his old buddy Felix Leiter, once again played by Jeffrey Wright, comes knocking and needs his help. This leads them to rescue a kidnapped scientist, which turns out to be far more difficult than anticipated. Bond then winds up on the trail of a nefarious villain who possesses a dangerous new technology. Franchise producer Barbara Broccoli had this to say about the movie.

“This film is really tremendous. We’re really super excited by it. We always start off these movies saying two things. One is, ‘What is Bond’s emotional journey throughout the film?’ And we’ve really thrown the book at it on this one. And the other is, ‘What is he up against in terms of the villain, and the villainy, and what’s happening in the world?’ And I think on both counts we’ve really pushed the boat out.”

It’s fully expected that this will be Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond, and his fifth overall. Craig previously starred in Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre. Cary Fukunaga (Beasts of No Nation, True Detective) is in the director’s chair. Fukunaga co-wrote the screenplay alongside franchise regulars Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, with Scott Z. Burns (The Report) and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) also earning credit for their work on the script.

Daniel Craig will be joined by quite a few returning favorites such as Ralph Fiennes (M), Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), Rory Kinnear (Tanner) and Ben Whishaw (Q). Newcomers include Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch, Billy Magnussen, and Rami Malek, who plays the main villain, Safin. No Time to Die is set to hit theaters on April 8, 2020. Be sure to check out the new photo for yourself and check back with us tomorrow for the first trailer.
